Can I have a bite of your steak?

I have slowly but surely been able to eat meat again and am relieved that the meat aversion is abating because my baby needs the protein. For a long time my diet consisted of lots of beans, nuts, seeds and fresh tofu but probably not quiet enough for a growing baby. Now-a-days I can eat small amounts of meat, when I am in the right mood. So I eat some meat or poultry pretty much, everyday now. I feel much better physically!

Needle-n-Thread

One of my cousin's swears by the old wives tale that a needle and thread can predict the baby's sex. You hold the threaded needle of over the pregnant woman's belly. If the needle moves in a circle, it's a boy. If it moves back and forth, it's a girl.

We tried it and needle and thread predicted a girl. We will have the 20 week ultrasound a week after Thanksgiving which should reveal the truth! We are very excited to find out so that we can start planning how we will decorate the nursery and buy some little clothes.

CAST YOUR VOTE: Are we having a boy or girl??? Just make a comment to let us know what you think!

I feel the baby kick!!!

Now this is the coolest thing in the world!!!! When my little 5 1/2 inch Baby moves his/her little hand, it feels like a flutter. When she/he kicks it feels like a poke. It is sooo funny. I will just be sitting watching TV or in yoga class and all of a sudden Baby is like "Hey Momma, what's Poppin'"? It makes me giggle. LOL. I love it.

So far, this is the best part of my pregnancy. Makes me think that I may be ready for more first trimester torture a couple of years after I give birth to this little cutie.

I can't wait for Corey to be able to feel it. He tries to feel it everyday.
